Scope
This part of YY 0574 specifies the characteristics of the audible component of basic electrical alarm systems used in anesthesia and respiratory care, either as stand-alone or as part of an integrated system. It only applies when referenced by a specific standard for medical devices. This part does not specify: a) the medical equipment that will provide the alarm; b) the conditions for activating the alarm; c) the method of generating the alarm signal; d) the characteristics of the auxiliary alarm system, that is, the alarm system that is activated when the basic alarm system fails; e) Alarm priority configuration.
