Scope

This standard specifies the naming, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, storage and size requirements for disposable sterile dental injection needles (hereinafter referred to as dental needles). This standard applies to dental needles mounted on simple dental syringes for local anesthesia in dentistry, but does not cover dental needles for special applications and techniques. This standard does not give requirements for validating the sterilization process.
