Scope
This part of YY/T 0590 specifies the method for measuring the quantum detection efficiency of digital X-ray imaging equipment as a function of air kerma and spatial frequency when operating under the medical use conditions specified by the manufacturer. The intended users of this section are manufacturers and well-equipped testing laboratories. This section applies to digital X-ray imaging equipment for mammography imaging, such as, but not limited to: CR systems, systems directly or indirectly based on flat panel detectors, scanning systems (based on CCD or photon counters). This section does not apply to: digital X-ray imaging equipment used for general X-ray photography or dental photography; CT; devices used for dynamic imaging (acquiring series of images, such as fluoroscopy or cardiac imaging). NOTE: The above devices are not included because they contain many very important parameters that differ from mammography (e.g., beam quality, geometric position, time dependence, etc.). Some of these technical parameters are described in other parts of the series of standards (YY/T 0590.1 and IEC 62220-1-3), just like the description of other parameter items, such as speed in IEC and ISO standards and contrast processing.
