Analysis of the core content of the standard
This part of the standard specifies the three core technical indicators of dental diamond cutting discs:

Key technical requirements
1. Dimension tolerance system
The standard adopts a three-level tolerance system:
- Aperture tolerance: ±0.05mm (1.6/1.8mm)
- Diameter tolerance: +0.4/+0.5mm
- Thickness tolerance: ±0.01~±0.05mm
2. Material mechanical properties
All cutting discs are required to use a stainless steel substrate, of which:
- Yield strength of thin cutting discs ≥1000MPa
- Yield strength of thick cutting discs ≥800MPa
Clinical application guidelines
Case:When using the 140 ultra-thin cutting disc to remove caries on the proximal surfaces of anterior teeth, attention should be paid to the following:
- Choose a 1.6mm standard spindle
- Speed control at 30000-40000rpm
- Working pressure ≤2N
Analysis of Standard Evolution
Compared with ISO 7711-2:1992, YY/T 0805.2-2014 has the following major enhancements:
- Added specific dimensional requirements for 5 new cutting disc types
- Clarified the detection method for radial runout (referenced YY/T 0874)
- Strengthened material mechanical properties
