Scope

This part of YY/T 0809 specifies the test method for determining the fatigue performance of stemmed femoral components in partial and total hip replacements under specific test conditions. This section also specifies test conditions to take into account important parameters affecting the test component and describes the method of mounting the specimen. This section applies to prostheses with symmetrical planes or prefabricated anteversion or double-curved handles and prostheses used for revision surgery. This section does not specify inspection methods for test samples.
