Scope

This standard specifies the terms, definitions, performance and test methods of positron emitter X-ray computed tomography systems (hereinafter referred to as PET/CT). This standard applies to PET/CT, but does not apply to independent positron emission tomography imaging devices (PET) and independent X-ray computed tomography equipment (CT).
