Scope
This standard specifies the method for measuring the sound output power of medical ultrasonic diagnostic equipment. The radiation force balance method is the preferred method. The hydrophone method can also be used if the measurement accuracy can be ensured. This standard is applicable to the measurement of the sound output power of medical ultrasonic diagnostic equipment in the frequency range of 0.5MHz to 15MHz.
