Scope

This standard specifies the methods and principles for the configuration of mooring lines on tankers. This standard applies to the determination of the strength, length and number of mooring lines for oil tankers and other liquid cargo ships of not less than 16,000 deadweight tons. Tankers of other sizes can also be used as a reference.
