Scope

This regulation is applicable to the design of water tower structures for storing normal temperature water in general water supply and drainage projects in urban public facilities and industrial enterprises. This procedure does not apply to the structural design of water towers in water supply and drainage projects with special requirements in industrial enterprises (such as chimney water towers, multi-functional combination water towers, etc.). This procedure is applicable to commonly used reinforced concrete structure water towers and small reinforced concrete water tank masonry support structure water towers. This procedure is not applicable to the structural design of steel water towers, steel mesh cement water tanks and water tanks made of other materials. This procedure is based on the current national standards "Unified Standard for Reliability Design of Building Structures" GB 50068, "Unified Standard for Reliability Design of Engineering Structures" GB 50153 and It is formulated in accordance with the principles stipulated in GB 50069, "Code for Structural Design of Water Supply and Drainage Engineering Structures".
