Scope
This standard specifies the selection principles and technical requirements for installation tools and equipment when installing conductors, ground wires, insulator strings and fittings of overhead transmission lines during live installation. This standard specifies grounding procedures to ensure that operating equipment and workers are not harmed by induced currents. This standard applies to transmission lines of 110kV and above. For distribution lines of 35kV and below, most technical requirements and test regulations also apply.
