Key technical requirements for insulating materials

Typical data comparison:
  • Insulating paper for 750kV and above: density 0.95±0.05g/cm³, breakdown strength ≥9.5kV/mm
  • Thermal modified paper: thermal grade 120℃, ash content ≤0.5%, specially used for DC converter
  • Mesh belt: warp density ≥10 pieces/cm, breaking force ≥120N

Implementation suggestions

  1. Selection process: First determine the insulation thickness → Select the conductor type → Optimize the specifications → Verify the short-circuit resistance
  2. Special applications: ±800kV transposed conductors need to undergo a 190℃ high-temperature breakdown test (≥2kV)
  3. Quality control: Paint film thickness tolerance ±0.02mm, wrapping overlap width ≥2mm
