Scope

This standard specifies the electrical type test, factory test and on-site handover test of Voltage Sourced Converter Valves (VSC valves) for flexible DC transmission. This standard applies to three-phase bridge voltage source converter valves for high-voltage direct current transmission or back-to-back systems. The tests specified in this standard are mainly for air insulated valves, and other types of valves can also be performed with reference.
