Introduction
Background of Standard Revision and Technological Evolution
This standard replaces DL/T 5218-2005. The main revisions include:
- The scope of application is extended to 750kV substation
- Newly added GIS equipment selection requirements
- Strengthen environmental protection, energy conservation and occupational health chapters
- Detailed computer monitoring system communication standards (DL/T 860)

Key technical points
Electrical primary system design
Main transformer selection: 750kV should adopt single-phase transformer, and the capacity should meet the 70% load no overload requirement
Distribution equipment:Open hard busbars are prohibited in areas with an earthquake resistance of 8 degrees or above. Gas insulated combination appliances
are recommended in dirty areas.Special requirements for civil engineering
Fire protection distance:The distance between oil-immersed equipment and buildings shall not be less than 5m (see Table 4.2.6 for details)
Seismic structure:The safety level of 330kV~750kV architecture is raised to level one (γ0=1.1)
Implementation suggestions
- Wasteland should be given priority in site selection to avoid earthquake fault zones
- 750kV distribution equipment should adopt a split-phase medium layout
- Video surveillance system needs to be linked with fire alarm
- Cable trenches should use double-sided reinforced concrete covers
