Scope

This standard specifies the basic technical requirements, inspection rules, packaging and storage, selection principles, acceptance, construction, operation and maintenance and technical management of room temperature curing silicone rubber anti-fouling flashover coatings (RTV for short) for insulators. This standard is applicable to RTV coatings used on insulators operating under AC system rated voltage higher than 1000V, ambient temperature -40℃~+40℃, and dirty conditions. This standard can be used as a reference for DC systems.
