Scope

This standard specifies the mechanical and structural requirements, technical requirements, test and inspection requirements, etc. for single-phase AC active energy meters. This standard applies to the manufacture, use, ordering and acceptance of installed level 2.0 single-phase induction energy meters (hereinafter referred to as energy meters) that measure AC power with a reference frequency of 50Hz (or 60Hz).
