Scope
This part of GB/T 1001 specifies standard electrical test procedures and acceptance rules to verify the specified characteristics of insulator strings and insulator string groups within the scope of this part. This part applies to insulator strings and insulator strings composed of porcelain or glass insulator string components for overhead power lines with a standard voltage higher than 1000V and a frequency not higher than 100Hz. This section also applies to insulator strings and insulator string groups for DC overhead traction lines. This section also applies to insulator strings and insulator string groups of similar structure used in substations. This part can also be used as a provisional standard for insulator strings, insulator strings and composite insulators for DC overhead power lines.
