1 Scope

This part of GB/T 10209 specifies the determination of free water content for monoammonium phosphate and diammonium phosphate by Karl•Fischer method and vacuum oven method.

It is applicable to the determination of free water content for monoammonium phosphate and diammonium phosphate produced by various processes.

3.1 Karl•Fischer method (arbitration method)

3.1.1 Principle

Conduct quantitative reaction between the free water in the test portion and Karl•Fischer reagent of the known water titer, and the reaction formulas are as follows:
