Scope
This standard specifies the basic requirements for the type, size and position tolerance, appearance and surface roughness, material and hardness, marking and packaging of shell end mills. These milling cutters have straight holes and end keys for fastening to the tool holder. This standard applies to the metric series of integral high-speed steel sleeve end mills. This standard does not apply to sickle teeth, welded teeth and shell end mills with indexable inserts.
