Analysis of core test methods

1. Dry density and water absorption test

Key equipment: Electric blast drying oven (200℃), Constant temperature water bath (20±2℃). Specimen preparation requirements:

  • 2 groups of 100mm cubic specimens
  • Sampling along the gas emission direction from top to bottom
  • Dimension deviation ≤±1mm

Application case:

When an AAC board factory used a digital caliper (0.1mm accuracy) for measurement, it was found that the verticality of the specimen exceeded the standard, resulting in a dry density deviation of 5%. After adjusting the fixture, the data returned to the normal range.


2. Mechanical properties test

Note: The moisture content needs to be controlled within the range of 10±2% (Clause 4.2.7)


Suggestions for the implementation of the standard

  1. The laboratory should establish the temperature and humidity calibration records of the drying shrinkage test chamber (Clause 5.1.4)
  2. It is recommended to use an automatic control box for carbonization test, and the manual device needs to detect the CO2 concentration daily (Clause 7.3.2)
  3. The antifreeze specimen needs to be immersed in water in steps during the pre-wetting stage (Clause 6.3.2)

Technical difficulties:

In the elastic modulus test, a testing agency found that the difference between δ4 and δ5 exceeded 0.003mm. After improving the specimen centering device, it met the requirements (Clause 4.3.5.j)
