本标准规定了钢制球形储罐（以下简称球罐）的设计（包括规则设计和分析设计，下同）、制造、组焊、检验与验收的要求。
　　本标准适用于设计压力不大于6.4MPa、设计温度范围按钢材允许的使用温度的桔瓣式或混合式以支柱支撑的球罐。
　　本标准不适用于下列球罐：
　　a） 核能装置中的球罐；
　　b） 经受相对运动（如车载或船载）的球罐；
　　c） 公称容积小于50m3的球罐；
　　d） 双层结构的球罐。

Scope

This standard applies to spherical tanks of orange segment type or mixed type supported by pillars with design pressure not exceeding 6.4 MPa and design temperature range according to the allowable service temperature of steel. It does not apply to the following spherical tanks: spherical tanks in nuclear power plants; spherical tanks subjected to relative motion; spherical tanks with a nominal volume of less than 50 m³; and spherical tanks with double-layer structures.
