《GB/T 12527-2008额定电压1 kV及以下架空绝缘电缆》由TC213（全国电线电缆标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国电器工业协会。
本标准代替GB 12527-1990《额定电压1kV及以下架空绝缘电缆》。本标准规定了交流额定电压1kV及以下架空绝缘电缆的技术条件、试验方法、验收规则、包装、运输及贮存。
本标准适用于交流额定电压U为1kV及以下架空电力线路用铜芯、铝芯、铝合金芯耐候型聚氯乙烯、聚乙烯和交联聚乙烯绝缘架空电缆。本标准与GB 12527-1990相比主要变化如下：
―――修改了额定电压的定义（1990版的3.4，本标准的3.4）；
―――修改了产品表示方法（1990版的3.7，本标准的4.3）；
―――增加了单芯电缆铝及铝合金导体规格300mm2、400mm2（见表２，表４）；
―――取消了对导体绞合节径比和绞向的规定（1990版的7.1.2）；
―――增加了线芯的标志方法（见7.2.2）。

1 Scope

This standard specifies the technical conditions, test methods, acceptance rules, packaging, transportation and storage of aerial insulated cables for AC rated voltages up to and including 1kV.
This standard is applicable to copper-, aluminium-, and aluminium alloy-cored, and polyvinyl chloride-, polyethene- and crosslinked polyethylene-insulated weatherproof aerial cables used for overhead power lines for AC rated voltages (U) up to and including 1kV.
