GB/T 12598-2023 is an important national standard for the determination of ion exchange resin strength. Its main purpose is to evaluate the strength of unused wet spherical ion exchange resins under specific conditions by testing the ball rate of infiltration and the ball rate after grinding. This revised version of the standard replaces the previous GB/T 12598-2001 and has made many improvements in technical details to meet the needs of industry development.

  • Prepare the sample strictly in accordance with the standard requirements, especially the sample type processing steps.
  • Regularly calibrate the equipment, such as whether the ball mill speed and the inner diameter of the drum meet the specified requirements.
  • Strengthen personnel training, especially in the operation of the infiltration treatment column and the particle separation process, pay attention to observe and record abnormal phenomena.
