Scope
This standard specifies the dimensional data that should be marked on the drawings of cylindrical worms and worm gears, and recommends the data that should be marked on worm drives (see Appendix A). This standard is applicable to the drawing of cylindrical worms, worm gears and transmissions with shaft angle Σ=90°, or as the basis for the necessary technical parameters provided by their users to the manufacturer.
