Scope

This standard specifies three methods for determining the tear strength or adhesive strength of vulcanized rubber and fabrics covered with rubber and plastics expressed as a multi-peak curve, expressed as the median and range of peaks. This standard applies to the analysis of multi-peak curves. The curves of tear strength or adhesive strength of different materials have different peak numbers. According to the number of peaks, it is decided to use one of the three methods for calculation. Analysis of flat or peakless patterns is outside the scope of this standard. This standard does not involve the conditions and methods in the tear strength or adhesive strength test.
