Scope

This standard specifies the engineering safety requirements to be met in the design, calculation, processing, assembly, test, installation and maintenance of electrical penetrations on containment structures. This standard applies to electrical penetrations on containment vessels. In this standard, electrical penetrations include: a. Electrical conductors (penetrations) between the nearest connection points inside the containment and outside the containment; b. Parts used for electrical insulation of such conductors; c. Used for this The pressure-resistant, gas-tight and temperature-resistant shell of the conductor assembly and the parts used to connect it to the containment wall; d. The permanent connection device for monitoring gas leakage. The following parts do not belong to the electrical penetration: a. Parts used to fix the containment wall of the penetration, such as seals connected by bolts or pipes or embedded pipes that need to be welded; b. Connected to the penetration conductors or connectors External cables and conductors; c. Termination parts, such as cable lugs or lugs, or welded sleeves fixed to cables or connecting wires; d. Leak test devices or extraction devices temporarily attached to penetrations. Requirements for external circuits connected to penetrations or for containment structures are outside the scope of this standard.
