本标准于1992年首次发布，本次为第一次修订。
本标准自发布之日起，代替GB/T 13640-1992《劳动防护服号型》。
本标准是对GB/T 13640-1992的修订。
本标准规定了劳动防护服号型、控制部位尺寸系列与号型标志。
本标准适用于劳动防护服的设计、生产与选用。
本标准也适用于其他工作服，包括宽松类职业服的设计、生产与选用。
本标准与ＧＢ／Ｔ１３６４０—１９９２相比，主要变化如下：
●　根据2005年我国劳动人口人体尺寸分布和变化趋势调整和补充了号型设置范围；
●　调整腰围控制量，在胸围覆盖率高的号型部分细分腰围设置、胸围覆盖率低的号型部分简化腰
围设置；
●　调整了全国成年男子、成年女子身高和胸围覆盖率，删除附录Ａ《劳动防护服号型覆盖率》中分
地区的覆盖率；
●　增加了附录Ｂ《宽松类劳动防护服号型》。

Scope

This standard specifies the size of labor protective clothing, the size series of control parts and the size mark. This standard applies to the design, production and selection of labor protective clothing. This standard is also applicable to other work clothes, including the design, production and selection of loose-fitting professional clothes.
