本标准规定了钢制书柜、资料柜的分类、要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、使用说明、包装、运输及贮存。
本标准适用于钢制书柜、资料柜,其他钢制柜类家具可参照执行。

This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 13668-2003 General specification for steel book cabinets and information cabinets. In addition to editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 13668-2003:

——The classification has been modified (see Clause 3 hereof; 3.1 of Edition 2003);

——The naming of product model has been deleted (see 3.2 of Edition 2003);

——The requirements for the shape and dimensions of the cabinet have been deleted (see 3.3 of Edition 2003);

——The requirements for geometrical tolerance have been modified (see 4.2 hereof; 4.3.2 of Edition 2003);

——The appearance requirements have been modified (see 4.3 hereof; 4.2 of Edition 2003);

——The requirements for the performance of ferrous metal materials used for the product have been deleted, and the "material” have been modified to "steel sheet thickness", with the requirements for steel sheet thickness modified (see 4.4 hereof; 4.1 of Edition 2003);

——The process requirements have been deleted, which are merged into the appearance requirements (see 4.4 of Edition 2003);

——The "surface treatment" has been modified to "surface physical and chemical performance", the requirements for phosphating and gloss have been deleted, and the requirements for hardness and test methods have been modified (see 4.5 hereof; 4.5 of Edition 2003);

——The requirements for accessories have been deleted, which are merged into the appearance requirements (see 4.6.1, 4.6.2 and 4.6.3 of Edition 2003);

——The requirements for salt spray resistance of metal electroplated coating have been modified (see 4.5 hereof; 4.6.4 of Edition 2003);



——The requirements for roughness and chrome coating thickness have been deleted (see 4.6.4 of Edition 2003);

——The requirements and determination methods for moisture content of wood have been added (see 4.6 and 5.6 hereof);

——Other requirements have been added, into which the requirements for ordinary locks and numbered locks are combined (see 4.7 hereof; 4.6.5 of Edition 2003);

——The requirements for mechanical property have been modified (see 4.8 hereof; 4.7 and 4.8 of Edition 2003);

——The inspection rules have been modified (see Clause 6 hereof; Clause 6 of Edition 2003);

——The marking, instructions for use, packaging, transport and storage have been modified (see Clause 7 hereof; Clause 7 of Edition 2003);

——The annual average equilibrium moisture content of woods in different areas of China have been added (see Annex A hereof).

General technical requirements for steel book cabinets and information cabinets

1 Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, instructions for use, packaging, transport and storage of steel book cabinets and information cabinets.

This standard is applicable to steel book cabinets and information cabinets, and reference may be made to it for other steel cabinet furniture.

3 Classification

The products can be divided into single-section type and multi-section type by structural form.

4 Requirements

4.1 Limit deviation of overall dimension (general item)

The limit deviation of overall dimension of the products shall be ±2 mm.

4.2 Geometrical tolerance (general item)

The geometrical tolerance shall comply with those specified in Table 1.
