Scope
This standard specifies the electrical connection values for the interconnection of analog signals of audio, video and audio-visual system equipment. This standard applies to audio signals (excluding video signals) for broadcasting and similar purposes. This standard does not cover interconnections using 21-pin connectors as described in IEC 60807-9. This standard does not apply to the matching values of on-board equipment. For the interconnection of digital signals, please refer to IEC 60958.
