Scope

This part of GB/T 1479 specifies the method for measuring the bulk density of metal powders with a funnel under standard conditions. This section applies to metal powders that flow freely through a funnel with a hole diameter of 2.5mm. This method can also be used if the powder has difficulty passing through a 2.5mm diameter hole, but can flow freely through a 5.0mm hole. Part 2 of this standard (see GB/T 1479.2) specifies the bulk density measurement method for powders that cannot pass through a 5.0mm aperture.
