Scope

This standard specifies the dimensions of molds used to prepare tensile specimens by pressing-sintering, metal injection molding-sintering, and the dimensions of tensile specimens prepared by machining sintered and powder forged products. This standard applies to all sintered metal and alloy materials (excluding cemented carbide) tensile test specimens.
