《GB/T 15124-1994信息处理系统 数据通信 多链路规程》由TC28（全国信息技术标准化技术委员会）归口，TC28SC6（全国信息技术标准化技术委员会数据通信分会）执行，主管部门为国家标准化管理委员会。
本标准规定多链路规程。在该规程中，处于数据链路层的多条并行数据链路用来在网络层实体之间，提供可变带宽的数据链路。多链路规程(MLP)作为数据链路层中一个新的较高的子层出现，在网络层与数据链路层的多条单数据链路协议功能（SLPs）之间操作。本标准不规定SLPs向MLP指示多链路帧传输业已成功完成的方法。多链路规程不排除利用具有不同时延特性和／或线路速率的单链路规程构成一个多链路帧之前，必须了解将要使用该规程。这可通过下述方法实现：事先商定在该数据链路上的所有通信均采用该规程，或通过SLPs之一协商使用该规程，或者通过其他途径。双方获得有关使用或不使用多链路规程共同理解的方法，在本标准中未作规定。

Scope

This standard specifies multilink procedures. In this procedure, multiple parallel data links at the data link layer are used to provide variable bandwidth data links between network layer entities. Multilink Procedure (MLP) emerges as a new higher sublayer in the data link layer, between the network layer and the multiple single data link protocol functions (SLP_s) of the data link layer operation (see Figure 1). This International Standard does not specify a method by which the SLP _s indicates to the MLP that the transmission of a multilink frame has been successfully completed. The multilink procedure does not exclude the use of single link procedures with different delay characteristics and/or line rates to form a multilink group. When the procedures specified in this standard are used on one or more parallel data links, both ends of the data link must know that the procedures will be used before sending the first multilink frame. This can be accomplished by prior agreement to use this procedure for all communications on the data link, by negotiating the use of this procedure through one of the SLP_s, or by other means. The means by which the parties obtain a mutual understanding regarding the use or non-use of multilink procedures is not specified in this standard.
