Standard Background and Technical Evolution

The GB/T 1608 series of standards has undergone several revisions since its first release in 1986. The 2017 revision mainly adds product types (Type I and Type II), adds heavy metal indicators such as cadmium, chromium, and mercury, as well as parameters such as fluidity, moisture, and particle size, and optimizes the test methods.

Application fields and technical requirements of potassium permanganate

Industrial potassium permanganate is widely used in the fields of chemical industry, metallurgical industry, environmental protection, agriculture and breeding, and is mainly used as an oxidant, disinfectant and water treatment agent.

Actual application case: water treatment field

In the treatment of domestic water, type II quicksand potassium permanganate is particularly suitable for rapid oxidation reactions due to its high activity and good fluidity. For example, in the process of drinking water purification, potassium permanganate can effectively remove iron, manganese ions and organic pollutants in water.
