本标准扩展了GB/T 16720.1和GB/T 16720.2中定义的概念和原则。

Scope

This standard extends the concepts and principles defined in GB/T 16720.1 and GB/T 16720.2. This standard, as a companion standard to the manufacturing message specification, describes the semantics of numerical control manufacturing equipment and devices, especially this part of ISO/IEC9506: Describes the use of manufacturing message specification services in numerical control specific applications; describes the use in numerical control equipment applications specific functions and how these functions are mapped to the NC device model in the sense of Virtual Manufacturing Device (VMD) attributes; provide NC-specific syntax for those MMS services applicable to NC operations and allow accompanying standard-specific parameters; define NC-specific objects "Standardized" designation; defines NC-specific MMS service conformance and required conformance building block (CBB) parameters. It should also be noted that, in addition to this part of ISO/IEC 9506, other companion standards have been or are being developed within ISO and IEC for industrial robots and industrial robot systems, programmable control systems, and process control systems.
