Scope
This standard specifies the test specifications for the net power of earth-moving machinery engines defined in GB8498-87. This standard is suitable for evaluating the performance of earth-moving machinery engines, and is used to express the characteristic curves of power, fuel consumption rate and rotational speed of the engine under full load conditions. Engines can be naturally aspirated or supercharged. Note: This standard is consistent with ISO 1585, which describes the performance tests of engines installed in the body of earth-moving machinery.
