Scope

This part of GB/T 17421 specifies the method for testing and evaluating the positioning accuracy and repeatability accuracy of CNC machine tools by directly measuring a single axis of the machine tool. This method works equally well for linear and rotary axes (linear and rotary). This part applies to the type inspection, acceptance inspection, comparative inspection and periodic inspection of machine tools. It can also be used for compensation adjustment inspection of machine tools. This section does not apply to machine tools that need to test several axes at the same time. The assay method involved repeated measurements at each location. This section gives the definition and calculation method of the parameters related to the inspection. The method for estimating uncertainty is described in Appendix C[2] of ISO/TR 230-9:2005. Appendix A provides a method for estimating measurement uncertainty. Appendix B describes step cycles for alternative applications. The results of this cycle are neither used in the technical literature related to this standard nor used for acceptance, unless there is a special written agreement between the supplier/manufacturer and the machine user. For machine acceptance purposes, using the standard inspection cycle in this part is always the right choice.
