Introduction
Analysis of the core content of the standard
| Technical dimension | 2015 version | 2020 version | Impact of changes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scope of application | 7 types of equipment | 13 types of equipment | 6 items were added, including slip seat, and 4 items including power tongs were deleted |
| Design verification | Formula calculation | Tabular specification | The operability of the test procedure is improved by 30% |
| Material requirements | Metal materials only | Non-metal materials added | Composite materials application scenarios expanded |
Detailed explanation of key technical requirements
1. Design safety system
The standard stipulates that the main load-bearing equipment such as turntable must meet the design safety factor of DSF≥2.0, and the stress analysis of key areas should be verified by finite element method. For high-pressure drilling fluid hose, the hydrostatic test pressure is adjusted from 2 times to 1.5 times the working pressure.
2. Material performance control
- Metallic materials: Yield strength test is carried out in accordance with GB/T228.1, Charpy impact test temperature is -20℃
- Non-metallic materials: New glass transition temperature test requirements (ASTM E1356)
- Welding process qualification covers ASME BPVC.IX standard
Implementation and application suggestions
Typical application scenarios
When a shale gas platform uses turntable slips, special attention should be paid to the calculation requirements of the new standard for buffer loads (Appendix C). It is recommended to adopt a design scheme with load variance ≤15%.
Enterprise response strategy
- Establish an equipment technical file management system to record all design verification test data
- Carry out special compliance review for Blowout preventer transfer system
- Update welding procedure specification (WPS) to meet the newly added non-metallic parts acceptance requirements
Standard evolution analysis
This standard has been revised four times in 1999, 2008, 2015 and 2020, with the main technical route changes:
- 2008→2015: Strengthen non-destructive testing requirements, add ASNT SNT-TC-1A
- 2015→2020: Turn to performance-oriented standards, delete 7 specific equipment requirements, and increase design verification flexibility
