Scope

This standard specifies the observation items, technical requirements, observation methods, reporting codes and data processing of ship-based marine hydrological and meteorological auxiliary observations (hereinafter referred to as ship-based observations). This standard is applicable to merchant ships, fishing vessels and other ships engaged in marine activities for marine hydrological and meteorological observations and data transmission.
