Analysis of key technical requirements

4.2 Accuracy classification system

The error in the joint measurement of encrypted points must meet the following requirements:

  • General area: ≤0.60×10-5ms-2
  • Difficult area: ≤1.00×10-5ms-2

Grid gravity anomaly accuracy requirements:

Grid sizePlain accuracyMountain accuracy
5′×5′5.00×10-510.00×10-5
30′×30′3.00×10-5

Instrument selection and inspection

6.1 Instrument selection principles

Recommended instrument type and performance indicators:

  1. LCR type: classic spring type, manual reading required
  2. BURRIS type: PDA automatic recording, FBK reading range -25~+25
  3. CG5/CG6 type: fully automatic measurement, built-in tilt compensation

Common requirements: nominal accuracy better than 0.02×10-5ms-2

Implementation suggestions

Special precautions for mountain measurement

  • The point density shall be implemented according to Table 2. 16 points are required in large mountains
  • Elevation control: the difference between the average elevation and the grid elevation is ≤200m
  • Instrument transportation: avoid severe vibration. Repeated observations are required if the static state exceeds 2h

Key formulas for data processing

Calculation of spatial gravity anomaly:

Δgh = G - γ0 + [0.3086(1+0.0007cos2B)-0.72×10-7H]H

Where H is the normal height and B is the geodetic latitude
