Scope

This standard specifies the basic terms and their interpretations of marine geology, in order to facilitate the standardization of professional terms, academic exchanges at home and abroad and the promotion of the development of marine geology. This standard applies to marine geology and related fields. This standard only selects the basic terms in marine geology, and the terms shared with other professions shall comply with the provisions of other relevant standards.
