Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, quality assessment and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of lithium-ion batteries and battery packs for mobile phones. This standard applies to lithium-ion batteries (hereinafter referred to as batteries) and battery packs (hereinafter referred to as batteries) for mobile phones. Lithium-ion batteries and battery packs for other mobile communication terminal products can be implemented by reference.
