Scope

This part specifies the hazards of handheld laser processing machines, safety requirements and measures, information for users, marking and other requirements. This part applies to the design, manufacture and use of handheld laser processing machines. This part does not include the relevant requirements for noise hazards, which can be found in GB/T18490.3-2017. This part does not apply to laser products or equipment that are manufactured separately or specially beyond the scope of application specified in GB/T18490.1-2017.
