《GB/T 18990-2008促黄体生成素检测试纸（胶体金免疫层析法）》由TC136（全国医用临床检验实验室和体外诊断系统标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为国家药品监督管理局。
本标准代替GB/T 18990.1～GB/T 18990.3-2003 《黄体生成素（LH）检测试纸》。
本标准规定了促黄体生成素检测试纸的术语和定义、技术要求、试验方法、检验和判定、包装、标志和使用说明书、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于通过胶体金免疫层析法原理测定妇女尿液中LH水平，以预测排卵时间，用于指导育龄妇女选择最佳受孕时机或指导安全期避孕的促黄体生成素检测试纸。
本标准与GB/T 18990.1～GB/T 18990.3-2003 相比，主要变化内容如下：
―――将原标准第1部分～第3部分整合修订为一个标准；
―――按《体外诊断试剂注册管理办法》（试行）中的相关要求修改产品名称；
―――修改了术语和定义；
―――增加了“物理性状”的技术要求和试验方法；
