Key technical requirements

Material system: The metal skeleton is added with duplex stainless steel such as 022Cr23Ni5Mo3N, and the chlorine content of the flexible graphite in the covering layer is ≤50μg/g. Anti-oxidation graphite must pass the 670℃/4h thermal weight loss test.

Process control: Gaskets above DN300 are allowed to be spliced, but the weld spacing is required to be ≥150mm and full penetration process. The wave tooth processing must ensure the consistency of tooth pitch (2.0-5.0mm) and flatness (≤1% of the outer diameter).

Implementation suggestions

  1. When selecting, the flange sealing surface type (raised face/concave-convex face/tongue-and-groove face) and the gasket structure should be considered simultaneously
  2. Oxidizing media should use anti-oxidation flexible graphite (maximum 650℃)
  3. The installation preload stress is controlled at 45MPa (Class300 example)
