Introduction

Standard Evolution and Technological Innovation

GB/T 19066.1-2020 replaces the 2008 and 2003 versions of the standard. The main technical changes include:

Core technical requirements

1. Material specifications

The metal skeleton can be made of 12 materials including 304 stainless steel and 316L. The flexible graphite covering layer must meet the following requirements:

  • Chlorine content ≤50μg/g
  • Maximum operating temperature in oxidizing medium 450℃
  • Thermal weight loss at 670℃ ≤4%/h

Implementation suggestions

Selection guide

Select material combination according to medium characteristics:

  • Acid environment: Priority is given to Hastelloy C276 skeleton
  • High temperature conditions: 310 stainless steel (≤800℃) or IN800 (≤900℃)

Installation precautions

The gasket with locating ears (Type C) should ensure:

  1. DN≤1000 uses 2 locating ears
  2. The center distance tolerance of the locating ears is ±1.0mm
  3. The bolt preload is controlled at 45MPa
