本标准根据国家质量监督检验检疫总局颁布的《地理标志产品保护规定》和GB/T 17924《地理标志产品标准通用要求》制定。
本标准代替GB 19266-2003 《原产地域产品五常大米》。
本标准规定了地理标志产品五常大米的术语和定义、地理标志产品保护范围、自然环境、要求、试验方法、检验规则及标志、包装、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于国家质量监督检验检疫行政主管部门根据《地理标志产品保护规定》批准保护范围内生产的五常大米。
本标准代替GB 19266-2003 《原产地域产品五常大米》。
本标准与GB 19266-2003 相比主要变化如下：
———由强制性国家标准改为推荐性国家标准；
———修改了标准的中英文名称；
———调整了自然环境的数据（2003版的5.1.1、5.1.2、5.1.3、5.1.4、5.1.5；本版的5.2、5.3、5.4、5.5、5.6），增加了地貌特征（见5.1）；
———依据GB 1354《大米》，调整了加工质量指标和部分理化指标（2003版的5.5、5.6；本版的6.4、6.5）；增加了“食味品质”，删除了“碱消值”和“垩白度”项目；
———增加了净含量允许短缺量项目（见6.7）；
———卫生指标增加了GB 2762 食品中污染物限量要求（见6.6）；
———增加了保质期（见10.3）。

Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions of geographical standard product Wuchang rice, the scope of protection of geographical indication products, natural environment, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage. This standard applies to Wuchang rice produced within the scope of protection approved by the national quality supervision, inspection and quarantine administrative department in accordance with the "Regulations on the Protection of Geographical Indication Products".
