《GB/T 20118-2006一般用途钢丝绳》由TC183（全国钢标准化技术委员会）归口，TC183SC12（全国钢标准化技术委员会钢丝绳分会）执行，主管部门为中国钢铁工业协会。
本标准规定了钢丝绳的分类、订货内容、材料、技术要求、检查与试验、验收方法、包装、标志及质量证明书。本标准适用于机械、建筑、船舶、渔业、林业、矿业、货运索道等行业使用的各种圆股钢丝绳。

1 Scope

This standard specifies the classification, ordering information, materials, technical requirements, inspection, test, acceptance methods, packing, marking and quality certificate of steel wire ropes.
This standard is applicable to various round strand steel wire ropes used in industries such as machinery, construction, shipbuilding, fisheries, forestry, mining, freight cableway, etc.
