Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, marking, ordering content, materials, technical requirements, inspection, testing, acceptance methods, packaging, marking and quality certificates of steel wire ropes with a diameter not exceeding 60 mm, as well as the safety, use and maintenance of steel wire ropes. This standard applies to the general technical conditions of various structural steel wire ropes made of smooth and coated carbon steel wire.
