本标准涉及在气体媒质噪声控制中消声器的实际选型，详细说明了消声器的供应商或者制造商与使用者各方能够达成一致的声学要求和运行要求。本标准描述了消声器运行的基本原理，但不是消声器的设计指导文件。本标准所描述的消声器适用于： --暖通、空调设备（HVAC）中，降低系统噪声和防止串音； --防止或降低高声级房间通过通风口的声音传输； --降低由高压管道产生的排气放空噪声； --降低由内燃机产生的进气和排气噪声； --降低从风机、压缩机和涡轮发出的进口和出口噪声。

Scope

This standard involves the actual selection of the muffler in the control of gaseous media noise, and specifies the acoustic requirements and operating requirements that can be agreed upon by the supplier or manufacturer of the muffler and the user. This standard describes the basic principles of operation of the muffler, but is not a design guidance document for the muffler. The mufflers described in this standard are suitable for: - in heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment (HVAC), reducing system noise and preventing crosstalk; - preventing or reducing sound transmission through vents in rooms with high sound levels; exhaust venting noise from ducts; - reduction of intake and exhaust noise from internal combustion engines; - reduction of inlet and outlet noise from fans, compressors and turbines. Mufflers are classified by type, performance characteristics, and application. This standard does not discuss in detail the active and adaptive passive noise control systems.
