Scope
This standard specifies the hoop hydraulic test method for metal pipes. It is generally used for pipes with an outer diameter greater than 120mm and a ratio of outer diameter to wall thickness of not less than 20. The purpose of the test is to determine the hoop stress value that meets the required specified hoop total strain.
