Scope

This part specifies the terms, categorization, classification and conformity, technical requirements, packaging, storage and transportation, information, conventional marks and symbols, marks and symbols at terminal and inspection rules of mounted digital display multi-function instruments.

This part is applicable to mounted digital display multi-function instruments, and also applicable to digital display part of dual analogue-digital multi-function instruments.

This part is not applicable to:

——multi-function instruments only provided with direct acting indicating analogue.

——portable digital display multi-function instruments.

——the instruments for special purpose specified in national standard (or professional standard).

All the functions of the instrument and specific category of each function shall be specified. Specific category of each function shall meet the requirements of relevant parts.
